Former Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has been employed by State House.
Sources close to Standard indicate that Mbugua who will be handling President Uhuru Kenyatta’s diary.
“Mbugua is one of the president’s aide. He will be in charge of his (Uhuru’s) diary,” said the source who spoke to the Saturday Standard on condition of anonymity.
Mbugua was promised a job by the President after agreeing to step down for Mr Kinyanjui after losing in the party nominations in the run-up to the August 8 elections.
“I’m serving the government and the people of Kenya in a new role,” Mbugua is quoted by the Standard.
Mbugua lost the Jubilee party nominations to current governor Lee Kinanjui.
